Starting from August 1,2011, Riga 1st hospital offers a new type of service.
PLASMAPHERESIS – is one of the most universal and most effective therapeutic methods when the toxic products of metabolic process are removed from the body, as well as other endo- and exogenous-type products, which affect the severity and duration of the disease. This procedure is applied when it is necessary to reduce the concentration of substances in the plasma (proteins, lipids, cholesterol, hormones, toxins, antigens, antibodies, immune complexes, medicines).
The method is used in more than 100 various diseases and syndromes. There are diagnoses in which there is no alternative to this method.
